The story tells of a man who is left alone at home by his wife. He must take advantage of his sudden freedom – he goes to a bar and tries to meet a pretty girl. However, two local drunks who pretend to be his former classmates prevent him from getting close to her. They force themselves on him and the man is unable to defend himself. All three end up at his home – with a supply of alcohol and sausages. However, the unexpected visitors become increasingly aggressive and start to demolish the apartment. Who will come to our hero's aid?

You can see for yourself that finding the right one is not easy in this Czech comedy film. The gullible daughter of a bankrupt landowner would never have imagined that she had married not the rich man who was supposed to save her family, but a marriage fraudster who was impersonating him. The cheerful story full of mistakes and misunderstandings still captivates with its plot and quick dialogues.

The story of three siblings: Cyril, Bruno, and Aneta. At the beginning is a suicide attempt by sculptor Jiří Malek, which is foiled by a thief hidden in his apartment. Malek is thirty-five, divorced, caring for his five-year-old son, and the reason he turned on the gas in his studio is, of course, his wife. Mr. Karas, who takes care of Málka's household, tries to get rid of his gloomy mood by using alcohol. But after Jiří insults the old man and they break up badly, Málka's older brother Oldřich decides to find a woman who would be a good wife to Jiří, a mother to little Martin and a good friend to him. She should be pretty, intelligent, understanding, love children and be able to cook, wash and clean. To avoid any mistake, Oldrich will draw up a test, the results of which should decide. Without suspecting that he is undergoing an important test, a number of potential sisters-in-law find themselves in the studio - Edita, a radio editor, Martina, a nurse, Pavla, a student, and others...

A detective investigating a series of murders becomes a suspect himself. He is suspended from duty and conducts his own investigation. With the quiet help of a colleague, he finds a clue to the real perpetrator. A classic detective story that focuses more on the human destinies of the individual characters than on the investigation itself. The main character is best characterized by the dilemma that pits collegiality against duty. His personal story is also far from textbook, as he deals with shared custody of his daughter from a divorced marriage and a new relationship with a new woman.
